Last Sunday, our little family drove to Canberra Nara Park where spring has well and truly begun to show itself in the beautiful trees. When we arrived we met our friend and photographer for the day, Annette. The wind was a little bit chilly, but the sun was shining and the park looked amazing so we were pretty excited.
Annette was fantastic, we know her from our church and had seen some of the amazing photos she had taken of other families in our church so we were really looking forward to what she would come up with for our family. As a stay at home mummy of two young children we were also keen to support her business which she balances well with family life.
Annette's style of photography is candid shots taken outdoors in natural light. We were concerned about how our kiddies would behave after them being at church all morning, then dragged to a friend's house for a youth group movie afternoon (where Claire had a short sleep) then off to the photo shoot. We were right to be concerned, Claire was pretty good, but Emily did not want to comply at all. She would run off at every opportunity and refused to comply with any of our requests. Annette handled this amazingly (it helps she also has a two year old) as she was very patient with the girls and worked around what they wanted to do rather than trying to force them to sit still which would have been impossible. She was also able to make the black eye Claire had magically disappear.
I hope you enjoyed me showing off my little family.
