Trying to be Trendy {My Week According to Instagram}

I have been so quiet on Instagram lately, but a recent set of style dares from Fox In Flats has me all inspired again.

DAREcember as it is called, has a dare for each day of December. So far I have only missed one (I didn't own any kind of broach) but I have been having so much fun with it and trying things that I have never tried before (like boots with a summer dress, and a necklace stack).

It is not too late to join in. Just post your pics to instagram, facebook or twitter with the hashtag #DAREcember.

Hot Pink Lipstick, Denim, Scarf, On My Head (Headband), Boots, Necklace stack

Other things I have been up to include: getting given three blocks of chocolate (which is great as I decided to give up buying chips and chocolate for charity), I got some feet in my face while I was lying down and we made some Christmas trees (despite my lack of Christmas spirit).

Instagram Catch Up {My Week According to Instagram}

If you follow me on Instagram you would have noticed that I have been super quiet this week. I actually have not put up any photos since last Friday. I have a good excuse, well, a few of them. One  is that it has been a crazy week with my birthday and Ali's baptism last weekend which meant loads of family visiting. I also got a fancy DSLR camera which I have been very excited about playing with. I have no idea how to use it properly but I am having fun trying.

Since I did not link up with Tina Gray {dot} Me last week(mainly due to using up all our downloads with the iPad), I thought I would do a catch up post this weekend.

Top left:Apparently it was a bus, Sometimes being the third child is awesome! Fries before her first birthday...thanks to her sisters. Braving the supermarket with all three. Wish me luck! Emily: Mum help! our hands are all gooey. We are on the change table.

More HerCanberra Photo a day shots: What keeps me busy, my favourite things about Spring: My bday, keys, something I hand wrote, my kitchen (the clean side), these two little ladies make me smile, my lunch

Photo A Day, A Surprise Visitor & A Tea Crisis {My Week According to Instagram}

This week I have still been going with the HerCanberra photo a day challenge. I have been a bit disorganised and so some pics have been late and there is even one missing. See if you can pick which one.

(Right to top): Simple Pleasure  kissing tiny baby feet, Party! (not part of the challenge) , Favourite item of clothing: Jeans,  work: My kids & my blog, Beverage: Apple bubbles, Lazy Sunday: 6:30am and everyone is up, What Keeps me busy: My family.

We planted a herb garden, a visitor tried to jump the fence then  had to be rescued by my hubby

I just like to take pics of this kid cos she is cute!

There was a mini crisis in our house yesterday. We ran out of tea!!! I search high and low, then hubby rushed to  the shops to stock up to make sure it NEVER happens again. Addicted much???

And that is the week that was on instagram.

My Holiday According to Instagram

If you follow me on Instagram you would have noticed that my family went on holidays this week just passed. We visited the town of Yarrawonga. Have you heard of it? I hadn't until we booked our holiday there. There isn't really all that much to do (but that was the appeal) except swim and play with the kids. Here is what we got up to:

The kids got to eat Coco Pops as a special holiday treat. The girls were also excited that we went to an olive grower and purchased a big tub of olives (they love them). We also enjoyed a visit to the Big Strawberry and visited a cheese factory where we got to see the cows being milked.

The resort had a lovely indoor pool which we swam in twice a day. We were very excited to find a pub which had awesome kids play equipment (and a jumping castle!). We taught the kiddies how to play mini golf and generally had lots of laughs.

I enjoyed the views of Lake Mulwala, which is a man made lake where they basically drowned a whole forest to create it. You can see the remaining trees which are quite beautiful. We had more pool time and I a special pj adventure where we drove out after dinner and ate ice cream and danced on the lake edge. On the way home we took the scenic route which could have resulted in disaster but we managed to find our way home.

It was nice to have a holiday but I am glad to be home (partially because the accommodation was dated and smelled like smoke).

This week coming I am joining in with Blossom Heart Blog for #7daysofselfies on Instagram so there is the first one and next week there will be lots more.
